Hi to everyone in the diving fraternity.

Unless you were under a rock for the last month you would have heard the Vanuatu was hit with one of the biggest cyclones in the southern hemisphere ever. Yep sure was a good one!!

The cyclone occurred on Friday the 13 of March 2015. Well I’m here to tell you we were back in action in less than 7 days.

     

Due to the wind direction our reefs and wrecks got off unaffected from any damage. With a dramatic drop in water temperature the coral is actually thriving.

We are now well into 2016 and we are still finding tourism a little slow, the Australian economy has slowed considerably and we have had 2 airlines stop flying in due to low volumes of tourists. Air Vanuatu and lots of other small carriers are still busy bringing us tourist so if you were looking for a holiday to a great destination that is not overly busy now is the time to come to Port Vila, Vanuatu.

      

All tour operators are up and running as with most restaurants, bars, accommodation houses  A couple of the bigger resorts, Iririki Island Resort and The Holiday Inn have had a full make over and will be open at May 2016.

Diving & Accommodation Packages in Port Vila, Vanuatu.

We are Vanuatu’s largest longest running watersports operations with activities available from our premises such as scuba diving and reef & game fishing. We now have an awesome package available to Diving Groups and Diving individuals alike.

Tropical Diving
For groups of up to 8 people we are now offering:

•    7 night’s accommodation in our self contained bunkhouse
•    8 spectacular boat dives to wrecks and offshore reefs

Accommodation

We have affordable bunkhouse style accommodation available. It is clean, comfortable, secure and centrally located.       Non Package Rate: 4,500vt or AUD$55.00 per person per night for less than 3 nights or 3,500vt or AUD$45.00 per person per night for 3 nights or more.

•    2 adjoining rooms, overlooking the picturesque Port Vila Harbor and Iririki Island.
•    Self-contained kitchenette with electric jug, toaster, microwave, full size refrigerator, cutlery and crockery.
•    Own bathroom with toilet, shower and basin.
•    Bunk Beds – 2 double beds and 5 single beds

We are located right in the middle of town so it is only a short walk to shops, restaurants, supermarkets etc.

Tropical Diving

Port Vila is the gateway to some spectacular diving. Warm water, great visibility, sheltered water, colorful fish life, beautiful reefs and plenty of shipwrecks. From our bunkhouse you would only need to walk downstairs to right amongst the action of our diving operation.
We run our dive boats every day of the year except (Xmas Day & New Years Day and also weather permitting).

At Nautilus Dive we offer:

•    night dives every  week
•    dive shop and gear repair center on site.
•    full gear wash facilities and a secure gear locker for guests to lock their gear in on completion of the days diving

Vanuatu has a reputation for superb visibility, warm waters, prolific fish and coral life on the reefs and some of the most accessible wrecks anywhere. Spend time either by the single dive or dive packages exploring the reefs and wrecks of Efate or Mele Bay on Cowrie, our catamaran hull purpose built dive boat.

Dive Gear

Either bring your own dive gear (Tanks and weight belts are all included in dives purchased) and have the ability to wash it at the end of the diving day in our wash tanks and then hang it in our secure, guests gear lockup or hire our gear which is all in superb as new condition (Most of it is new) on a per dive basis.

We specialise in arranging all types of adventures and activities for holidaymakers in Vanuatu. We are able to organize Parasailing, Jet Boat Rides, Scuba Diving, Snorkeling Trips, Kayaking, Horse Riding, Reef and Game Fishing, Island Tours, Sunset Cruises, Outer Island Tours plus there is lots for the kids to do and see.

Regarding the transport to and from the Base, we offer a regular pick up and drop off service to all the major hotels and resorts in Port Vila. We run dives every day of the year except Christmas and New Years Day. Our regular schedule runs from our morning dives at 8.00am (usually a double),(resort pick up at 7.30am), afternoon dive at 2.00pm (single)(resort pickup at 1.30pm) and our night dive every Wednesday at around 5.30pm.
